KIDS JIU-JITSU PROGRAM
At Constrictor Team, our Kids Jiu-Jitsu program is designed to help children grow into confident, disciplined, and resilient individuals, both on and off the mats.
Our focus goes far beyond techniques. We prioritise safety, structure, emotional control, and positive behaviour, creating an environment where children feel supported, challenged, and proud of their progress.
We don’t teach kids how to fight.
We teach them how to control themselves and situations.
Age Groups
Little Pythons — Ages 5 to 8
This group is focused on foundation development. At this age, children learn best through movement, repetition, and positive reinforcement.
Our Cubs classes help children develop:
Coordination and balance
Listening and focus
Confidence in their own body
Respect for rules, instructors, and training partners
Classes are fun, structured, and age-appropriate, with clear boundaries and constant supervision. There are no dangerous techniques, no pressure, and no expectation to “win”.
The goal at this stage is simple:
build confidence, body awareness, and a love for learning.
Serpenteens — Ages 8+ to 12
As children grow, they are ready for more structure and responsibility. Our Juniors program introduces technical foundations of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, while continuing to emphasise control and safety.
Juniors classes focus on:
Fundamental Jiu-Jitsu positions and movements
Balance, posture, and weight distribution
Problem-solving and decision-making
Calm responses in challenging situations
Anti-bullying awareness and confidence building
Children are taught that control always comes before strength, and that discipline and respect are non-negotiable.
How Our Kids Classes Are Structured
Consistency and routine are key for children. Every class follows a clear structure, so kids know what to expect and feel secure in the environment.
